Recommedation for OB/Gyn who delivers at Overlake Hospital?

I would like to give birth at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.

Anyone recommedations for a nice and not c-section happy Ob/Gyn?

I heard good things about Dr Anton and Dr Moore at Bellegrove Obgyn. Anyone saw them before? Good experiences?

I was previously a patient of Dr. Moore's at Bellegrove OBGYN for several years. I think she is wonderful, caring, and makes herself available. It is a very busy practice so be prepared for the turn and burn element of it. I will say, she was even working on Christmas Eve one year when I needed to come in for a last minute, morning appointment. We moved to the West Side a few years ago and are going to deliver at Swedish so decided tos switch docs, but I would definitley have stayed with Dr. Moore if I still lived on the East Side. Good luck!! Amy

I have my first appt with Dr. Moore on the 24th. I'll let you know how it goes. I want a natural birth at a birthing center, but my husband and mother want me to deliver in a hospital because they're worry-warts. I hope Dr. Moore is less cut-happy than other obs in the area.

bsigrid, did you decide against the Eastside Birth Center? I will ask my best friend who she had for her OB. she delivered at Overlake. Just beware, they have one of the highest c-section rates of all our area hospitals, so if you are really against one, be sure to keep that in mind. I heard Group Health hospitals have the best c-section rates.

Bsigrid, check dr. Richard Graham. His office is on the same street as Overlake. He delivered my 9 month old at the Overlake and when I get pregnant in a few months I am coming back to him. He is an older guy and shares his office with another Dr. The things I like about the office and him: - he will be there at your birth no matter what. He is NOT c-section happy! He garantees he is the one that will deliver his patients babies, even if he is not on call. Even in the middle of the night. Many offices have whoever is on call to do your labor, not with him. - his nurses are great and very very caring. I hate drawing blood and my nurse laid me down and made sure I was very comfortable before she even tried sticking me with a needle. She also had a very soothing voice. :)The receptionists are not snooty a**holes, I was late many times and they never batted an eyelash. - never had to see another Dr. because the Dr. wasn't there, but I know this is not always the case. He doesn't schedule surgeries and appointments on the same day, but I know emergencies happen all the time. Good thing is that he is literally 2 minutes away from the hospital. - He was never late. The maximum I ever had to wait was 20 minutes (again, my previous OB I had to wait for an hour at every appt). - It's easy to schedule appointments. My previous OB/GYN was so hard to schedule, they grew much bigger than they should.. sometimes it would get ridiculous like no spots one month in advance! I always had it easy with Dr. Graham. Not that he is not well liked. Read below: - Dr. Graham and his partner (can't remember his name but he is hilarious!!) want to keep his office small. Like small town thing, you know? Their office is less fancy than my previous OB, but I want him to deliver all my babies now, before he retires. He is also an excellent surgeon. - He is up-to-date with everything. Don't let his white hair and wrinkles fool you. He is very wise, very cool, awesome bedside manners, very caring and most and goes on cool adventure trips with his grandson. :) - you can leave his office very happy after hearing your first heartbeat and go have a juice at the Whole Foods and buy crazy beautiful things at Merry-go-Round, just down the street. - He is the OB of 7 of my friends, totalling 14 babies delivered by him! He is very calm during the birth and you feel safe. - Even me being new at the office - I changed to him from my other OB on week 27 - his nurse hugged me on my last appointment before the birth and wished me good luck! - He came out on the waiting area to see the baby (who was with DH) on my first post-natal appointment. Main Address: 1600 116th Ave NE, Ste 104 Bellevue, WA 98004 Phone: (425) 454-5758 Good luck! If you decide to go with him I will bump into you sometime this summer!
